This week's skills were based on Gaelic Football. Junior & Senior Infants worked on their fundamental movement skills, 1st & 2nd Class focused on hand-eye coordination while the emphasis for 3rd & 4th Class was on hand-passing and the skill for 5th & 6th Class involved kicking off both legs. Thank you to Mr. Ryan who set this week's challenges. Everyone had great fun on Friday displaying their newly acquired skills. We can't wait to start working on next week's skills!
At this time of year, we would normally be busy taking part in Cumann na mBunscol games, soccer blitzes etc. As none of these competitions are going ahead this year, we have decided to run our own set of sports skills challenges. Each week, a skill from a different sport will be demonstrated. Children will have a few days to practice the skill by themselves and they will have the opportunity to complete their challenge in school on Fridays. All pupils in the school, from Junior Infants up to 6th Class, will be participating in these challenges. This week's skills were based on Gaelic Football.
