A number of our pupils took part in the Leugh NS Interschools Derby held at Cashel Equestrian Centre recently. Niamh McCarthy, Jamie Crowe, Lucia Tuohy, Beau Bourke, Michael Dunne, Jake Tuohy and Lucy Bourke all competed in different categories throughout the day and everybody performed excellently! Thank you to Leugh NS for organising such a great competition.  Congratulations to Leah McGrath and Grace Hogan on winning the FAI Interprovincial Tournament with Munster for the second year in a row. Well done girls!   Well done to Benjamin Moloney whose article on our trip to the Aviva Stadium last May for the SPAR Primary 5s National Finals was featured in the programme for the Republic of Ireland v Norway Senior International Friendly last Thursday!  Congratulations to Lucy Hall who was selected as one of the winners in this year's Lions International Peace Poster Contest. Lucy was honoured along with all the other winners at a prize-giving ceremony in Halla na Féile, Cashel last night. Maith thú Lucy!  Some photos of both Le Chéile classes following their recent visit to Marlhill Open Farm on the community policing bus. The children had a lovely time meeting Garda Pat and all the staff.  We were delighted to welcome Con Quinn from the Friends of Tipperary Football to the school this afternoon. Con and his committee are visiting every primary school in the county to donate footballs. Thank you to Con and the Friends of Tipperary Football for the new footballs, a great initiative!   |
