1st - 6th Class pupils travelled to Tipperary Town today to take part in the Clanwilliam Rugby Club organised Tag Rugby Blitz. We had a great day in the spring sunshine and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to use their newly acquired rugby skills. Many thanks to everyone in Clanwilliam RFC, especially Ivor Wilkinson, for organising a fantastic event for all the schools in attendance. We were delighted to be once again taking part in the FAI Schools Primary 5s blitzes recently. Both our squads had to endure the tension of penalty shootouts, which they came through with flying colours, in order to see who qualified from their divisions! And both squads reached their respective finals but, unfortunately, they were narrowly defeated in the deciders. Thanks to Declan Barron and everyone in FAI - South Tipperary for organising yet another brilliant day out!
Well done to our Under 13 Camogie team who took part in a Cumann na mBunscol blitz yesterday in Clonoulty. The girls won three out of their four games and there were great performances on display from everyone!
Well done to Fionn in 5th Class who recently took the decision to shave his head in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and their "Shave or Dye" campaign. Through his efforts, Fionn raised over €650 for this fantastic charity. Congratulations to Fionn on taking part in such a selfless and kind act. Maith thú!
Every Thursday since 19th January, Jack Ryan from Clanwilliam RFC has been visiting the school providing rugby coaching to all the pupils in 1st - 6th Class. Jack coached the pupils in rugby skills as well as fundamental movement skills. Huge thanks to Jack for coaching the pupils in such fun and enjoyable manner each week, you will be missed by everyone!
