Following on from our sponsored walk, all of the classes visited Cahir Castle where we received a guided tour of the site and watched an audio-visual presentation which provided us with further information about the castle.

Last Wednesday night, teddies from Thomastown N.S. came to Cashel Library for the annual Teddy Bear Sleepover. We read some bedtime stories and tucked all of the teddies in to bed for a good night’s sleep!  All of the pupils have been busy recently filling up their sponsored walk cards to aid the purchase of IT equipment in the school. The whole school participated in a sponsored walk from Cahir Castle to the Swiss Cottage along the banks of the River Suir and we even discovered a Thomastown N.S. fairy door on our journey. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed so generously to our fundraising efforts so far.  Well done to our Under 13 gaelic football and Under 11 ladies football teams who competed in the Cumann na mBunscol County Finals in Semple Stadium. Congratulations to the Under 11s who defeated Lissenhall and hard luck to the Under 13s who were unfortunately beaten by Cloughjordan.   Good luck to our Under 13 gaelic football and Under 11 ladies football teams who will play in the County Finals on Wednesday, November 21st in Semple Stadium. The Under 11s will play Lissenhall at 2.25pm and the Under 13s will play Cloughjordan at 3.10pm. As part of Science Week, the pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes attended The XTRA-Ordinary Science Show in the University of Limerick. The show was presented by Sue McGrath and it focused on:
 The pupils in the senior classes have been participating in the Tipperary Cumann na mBunscol gaelic football and ladies football competitions over the past number of weeks. There were fantastic performances from all the players involved. Good luck to the Under 13 gaelic football and the Under 11 ladies football teams who have qualified for the County Finals in Semple Stadium next week. |
