Some action from Sports Day 2023 - despite all the screaming, they did actually manage to collect some water in the pipes! We held our Sports and Activity Days last Thursday and Friday. It was a busy two days of art, dance, quizzes and the traditional sports day activities while we also managed to complete our 3rd - 6th Class summer soccer league finals, had a challenging and very wet water activity for the 5th & 6th Class pupils along with a very welcome visit from the ice-cream van! We were also delighted to welcome back last year's 6th Class pupils who came back to visit and acted as the match officials for our soccer league finals. Phew!
Saying goodbye to the 6th Class for the final time last Friday! We said goodbye to the 6th Class pupils who completed their primary education in Thomastown NS today. We wish them well as they move on to post-primary school and thank them for the wonderful contribution that they made to school life over the years in Thomastown NS. Go n-éirí an bóthar libh!
We were delighted to have Caterina from Italy visiting the school over the past two weeks. Caterina made many new friends in the Junior & Senior Infants classroom and had the opportunity to learn lots of new English words and phrases.
Grazie per averci visitato Caterina e speriamo che ti sia piaciuto il tuo soggiorno a Thomastown NS! 5th & 6th Class visited Ballyhass Lakes in Mallow for their school tour recently. The day involved activities such as the low ropes course, team building challenges, the inflatable water park, crate building and zip lining. Everyone loved the challenges on land, in the water and indeed, over the water!
