There was great excitement on Friday morning as the Junior and Senior Infants went on a class trip to Golden Goat Farm. The pupils were able to help with feeding, they got to hold some new born baby goats and they learned more about life on the farm. Thank you to the Farrell family for the hospitality shown to all the pupils on the day. Following on from their All Ireland Senior success a few weeks ago, congratulations once again must go to past pupils Rebecca Farrell (who was also the team captain), Leonie Farrell and Lucy Fogarty who won the All Ireland Junior PPS Camogie Final with Cashel Community School. They defeated Portumna Community School from Galway in the final (4-10 to 2-06).
A reminder to all that the school will be closed on Monday, March 18th due to the St. Patrick's Weekend Bank Holiday.
Huge congratulations to Jake Flannery on his success with the Ireland Under 20 rugby team who are the Six Nations Grand Slam Champions following their win against Wales.
Thank you to everyone who has provided us with the Aldi Play Rugby stickers recently. We are currently only 50 stickers away from our target of 300. If anyone has stickers at home then we'd greatly appreciate if you could send them into the school before the closing date of April 7th.
Well done to our two teams who represented the school in the regional section of the FAI Primary Schools 5 a-side soccer competition in Cahir Park FC. There were brilliant performances from all the girls throughout the day. One of our teams were the group winners and qualified for the County Finals which will take place after the Easter holidays.
Congratulations to past pupils Rebecca Farrell, Leonie Farrell and Lucy Fogarty who were part of the victorious Cashel Community School camogie team in the All Ireland Senior C Post Primary School Final.
