The Parents' Association will hold their annual Cake Sale, Craft Sale and Raffle on Sunday, December 3rd after 10am Mass in Kilfeacle Hall. All support would be greatly appreciated.
Following on from their success in the West Tipperary section of the Primary Schools GAA Quiz Final, Aidan, Colin, James and Robbie travelled to the Sarsfields Centre in Thurles on Sunday night for the County Tipperary Primary Schools GAA Quiz Final. Eighteen schools from around North, West, South and Mid Tipperary participated in the quiz on the night. Following the completion of the eight rounds, the Thomastown boys were the overall winners and ensured that the school would win the title for the first time ever. Huge congratulations to the boys on another great achievement!
Congratulations to Aidan, Colin, James and Robbie who won the West Tipperary GAA Primary Schools Quiz Final. The boys answered 63 out of a possible 64 questions correctly on the day. Well done boys on your great achievement!
The Under 11 Football team played Ballina NS from North Tipperary in the County Final on November 17th in Cashel. After a fantastic team performance, the boys were denied victory with the last kick of the game when the ball unfortunately hit the crossbar and the final whistle blew. Ballina NS were victorious by one point and the final score read as Ballina NS 2-02 Thomastown NS 0-07. Well done boys, you can be proud of your efforts. Beidh lá eile againn!
Tickets for Peace Proms 2018 are now on General Sale. The school will be performing on Sunday, March 4th at 2pm in The Hub, Kilkenny. Details regarding ticket prices, ticket sales and the various ticket options available can be found on the website www.peaceproms.com
Please note that the Peace Proms co-ordinators have been in contact with the school to tell us that quite a lot of tickets have already been sold for the various performances. Anyone attending is advised to purchase their tickets well in advance of March 4th. Welcome back to past pupil Evan Kennedy who paid a visit to us recently to tell us about his new secondary school, the Abbey CBS. Also, welcome back to Aisling Lonergan who was in the school recently on her TY Work Experience. The pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Class went to see the St. Ailbes Secondary School production of "The Circle of Life". Well done to past pupils Molly Hogan, Darragh Ryan and David Delaney who were part of the show. Well done to Emer McCarthy who was selected on the Munster Under 15 Schoolgirls soccer squad that played in the All Ireland Interprovincial Finals. Congratulations to Sam Hall who was selected for the South Tipperary Under 12 soccer squad. Finally, congratulations to Jack Leamy who won the Munster Under 16.5 Dean Ryan Hurling Cup Final with Thurles CBS and best wishes to Jack in the upcoming All Ireland Under 16.5 Hurling Final on December 2nd.
It has been confirmed that the school will perform on Sunday, March 4th 2018 at 2pm in The Hub, Kilkenny. Tickets will be on sale to the public from Friday, November 17th. However, there are some pre-sale tickets available for parents to purchase at the moment by logging on to www.peaceproms.com and using the code: kksun2 when purchasing.
All tickets for previous Peace Proms performances were sold out well in advance so any family members intending to travel are reminded to purchase tickets early. Also, please make sure that the tickets purchased are for the correct date and time because they cannot be refunded/exchanged later. Good luck to the Under 11 Football team who will play in the County Final on Friday, November 17th at 12pm in Leahy Park, Cashel.
