Congratulations to our soccer team who won all of their games in the Spar FAI Primary 5s National Finals in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday. We had a fantastic day. More photos to follow.
Our Le Chéile class had their school tour today. We went on a surprise train trip to Cahir and then on to Marlhill Farm. We had six superstars who enjoyed every second of their first ever school tour. It’s sure to be a day that they’ll always remember!
We're delighted to have the opportunity to return to the Aviva Stadium tomorrow for the SPAR FAI Schools Primary 5s National Finals. We've no doubt that the day will be as enjoyable as our last visit there with our girls' team in 2016. We even had some very young supporters with us that day who will be taking to the field themselves tomorrow!
Congratulations to Alex who won a County medal for her accordion playing with Cahir Comhaltas at the weekend. Alex regularly shares her musical talents with us in school. Maith thú!
Congratulations to our 2nd Class girls and boys who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday. We hope that they had a wonderful day celebrating with their families and friends. Thank you to Mrs. Ryan and Fr. Coffey for organising such a lovely ceremony.
Best of luck to our pupils who will be taking part in the SPAR FAI Primary School Soccer 5s National Finals on Tuesday 17th May in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. The pupils will participate in the A' Schools Cup Boys/Mixed section for Small Schools.
Thomastown NS will be representing Munster on the day and will play three games against Castlegar NS, Galway (Connacht), Ballymurn NS, Wexford (Leinster) and Scoil Mhuire, Clontibret, Monaghan (Ulster). The pupils are really looking forward to the occasion and their first game will kick-off at 3pm on Tuesday. We wish them well and we know that they'll do the school proud! Well done to our Under 11 Hurling Team who took part in the Cumann na mBunscol blitz in Golden today. It was a very enjoyable afternoon, particularly for the boys who played their first ever official match for the school. Maith sibh go léir!
Well done to our 6th Class pupils Brian Hayes and Ryan Greenstein following their win in the West Tipperary Under 13 Football Final with Galtee Rovers/St. Pecaun's at the weekend.
Best of luck to the boys in the upcoming County Semi-Final on Sunday evening v Kiladangan as well! Our Under 11 Camogie panel were involved in a Cumann na mBunscol Blitz last week in Dundrum. For some of the girls, this was their first ever game for the school. There was great endeavour and skill on display from all the players. Maith sibh go léir!
Congratulations to our current pupil Lily Flannery and our past pupils Grace Tuohy, Grace Hogan and Leah McGrath who were part of the Tipperary Under 14 Ladies Football team that defeated Meath in the All Ireland Ladies Football Semi-Final yesterday.
