3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Class made the journey to The Hub in Kilkenny on February 9th to take part in the rehearsals for the upcoming Peace Proms Concert which will take part on March 5th at 2pm at the same venue. Having spent the past number of weeks learning both the words and actions to the many songs that will form part of the show, the pupils were finally able to put into practice what they have learned.
The rehearsal was led by Greg Beardsell who works as a conductor, singer, musician and beatboxer and has directed numerous choirs. It was a fantastic experience and if today was anything to go by then the show promises to be a great event as there will be many soloists and a full orchestra performing also.
A special word of thanks to the Thomastown NS Parents' Association who made a very generous contribution to both the bus and the food. We look forward to our next trip to Kilkenny on March 5th.
