Well done to all the pupils who travelled to The Hub in Kilkenny on Saturday, March 5th to take part in the sold out Peace Proms concert. As well as performances from the one thousand pupils who attended from schools all across the South East Region, the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and a number of soloists such as Lauren Murphy, Emmet Cahill, Megan Ruby Walsh and Sarah Richmond treated the audience to well known songs such as "You're The Voice", "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Let There Be Peace". There was a performance from violinist Patricia Treacy and there was even an appearance from Storm Troopers, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in a special Star Wars themed performance. Added to all that was a Bag Piper, a Pipe and Drum Corp from Derry, Irish dancers and Highland dancers. All in all, it was a fantastic experience for all who attended and got the chance to perform in front of a packed arena. Many thanks to the parents and family members who supported and no doubt thoroughly enjoyed the day also. Comments are closed.
