Thank you to everyone at Victor Stud along with Breda and Kevin who helped to make today such a memorable and enjoyable day out.
We were delighted to visit Victor Stud today following an invitation received from Godolphin Ireland. The stud farm is only a short walk from the school so we donned our hi-vis jackets and headed off this morning. Thank you to Paddy, Colette, Mick and John from Godolphin Ireland who showed us around the farm and explained to us the work involved in running and maintaining such a busy farm. They explained how to measure and weigh a horse as well as the importance of good grooming, healthcare and feeding. We learned about micro-chipping, examined a horse passport and we also saw the horse walker in action along with the machinery in use each day on the farm. At the end of our visit, Paddy very kindly gave each of the pupils a goodie bag to go with the information book we received at the beginning of our visit. On our way back to the school, we were delighted to receive more treats courtesy of Breda and Kevin O'Toole which led to an impromptu picnic at Thomastown Cross! Thank you to everyone at Victor Stud along with Breda and Kevin who helped to make today such a memorable and enjoyable day out. Comments are closed.
