In addition to STEM, the pupils acquired other skills such as project management, presentation skills, teamwork, leadership and PR. Following all of the preparations, 5th and 6th Class travelled to the Dell EMC campus in Limerick to participate in the competition. The day was packed full of activities and events for everyone including a PR presentation, a judges' review and inspection of the robot, school project and engineering logbooks as well as the robot driving skills challenge and robot programming challenge. There were 25 schools from Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry participating on the day.
The 5th and 6th Class pupils participated in the Dell Vex Robotics Programme once again this year. The pupils learned about Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM). They had to design, build and program a robot to compete in a competition organised by Dell EMC.
