Well done to all the pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th who participated in the County Tipperary Primary Schools Cross Country Championships in Thurles. There were excellent performances from everyone. Congratulations to Charlie Hall who won the 3rd/4th Class Boys Individual title, Leah McGrath who finished third in the 3rd/4th Class Girls race, Nicholas Walsh who finished 5th in the 3rd/4th Class Boys race, Grace Hogan who was fifth in the 5th/6th Class Girls race and Sam Hall who was fourth in the 5th/6th Class Boys race. There was further success in the team competitions as the 3rd/4th Class Boys team (Charlie Hall, Nicholas Walsh, Conor Marnane) finished third and won bronze medals, the 5th/6th Class Boys team (Sam Hall, Dermot McCarthy, David Ryan) finished second and won silver medals and the 3rd/4th Class Girls team (Leah McGrath, Grace Tuohy, Lily Flannery) finished first overall and were awarded gold medals. Finally, there was the added bonus of meeting Tipperary hurler Brendan Maher at the championships also to complete a fantastic day.
