3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes once again took part in the County Tipperary Primary Schools Cross Country Finals in Thurles on September 3oth. Everyone eagerly looks forward to this popular event where over 3,100 pupils from across the county took part this year, the biggest entry in the event's history. All of our 55 pupils who attended performed exceptionally well, especially those in 3rd Class who competed for the first time. The 3rd/4th Class Girls team and the 3rd/4th Class Boys team finished second respectively and won silver medals. The 5th/6th Class Boys team came third overall and were awarded bronze medals. The 5th/6th Class Girls team won their category for the second year in a won and they received gold medals. Kate Flannery won an individual silver medal for finishing second in the 5th/6th Class Girls race while Lucy Fogarty finished third in the same race and was presented with an individual bronze medal.
