Congratulations to the girls soccer team who won the FAI County Tipperary Primary Schools Soccer Final for the first time in the school's history on March 14th in New Hill Park. In total, fifty four teams from all over the county had entered the competition to begin with and the final twelve teams travelled to the Two Mile Borris venue to see who the overall winner would be. Over the course of the day, the Thomastown girls defeated Two Mile Borris NS and Lissenhall NS in the group stages. They then defeated Upperchurch NS in the Semi Final. The Final was to be against previous winners of the competition Ballyneale NS. In this game, the Thomastown girls gave a very composed performance and they secured a very comprehensive win. Thomastown NS will now represent Tipperary in the Munster Final to be played after the Easter holidays. Many thanks to Ciara Quirke for all her photography on the day also.
